Privacy Notice

This notice describes how Pan Logistics & Shipping collects, uses and protects personal information, in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. What we collect

Sender and recipient contact details (name, phone, email, preferred language); shipment details (description, declared value, measurements, tracking history); photos of your cargo taken at our warehouse; quote request details; and a log of the notifications we send you.

2. Why we collect it

To provide the service: booking, measuring and quoting, live tracking, and status updates to you and your recipient in your chosen language.

To satisfy legal and customs obligations: Cameroonian filings such as the ECTN waiver, Import Declaration (DI) and SGS (RVC) inspection require shipment and consignee information.

And to respond to your requests and keep business records.

3. Who we share it with

Only what is needed, with: ocean carriers, our Douala clearing agent, customs and port authorities as required by law, and the service providers that run our platform (email delivery, photo storage). We never sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

4. How long we keep it

For as long as your shipment file is active, then as required for commercial and customs record-keeping (typically up to 7 years), after which it is deleted or anonymized.

5. How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit; access is limited to authorized staff; public tracking pages are keyed on the shipment number and do not display your contact details.

6. Your rights

You may ask to access or correct your personal information, ask questions about this notice, or withdraw consent where the law allows (this may prevent us from shipping for you). You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
